More than 400 alumni returned to campus during the Michigan Engineering Homecoming Weekend 2012. The weekend kicked off Oct. 12 with the Engineering Alumni Board Meeting followed by the first-ever webcast of state of the college update by Dean Munson.
After visiting departments, alumni zipped around North Campus in Segways led by the Student Ambassadors, then took a look at the world of flying robots and wind tunnels in Aerospace Engineering. Friday evening, the achievements of 16 engineers were celebrated at the Alumni Awards Dinner.
The Tailgate at the U-M Golf Course Clubhouse capped off the weekend, with alumni reconnecting with friends and meeting three student teams: Solar Car, Human-Powered Submarine and Baja Racing. From there it was on to the Big House to watch the Maize and Blue shut out Illinois, 45-0!
