Daniel Nieves is originally from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.  He attends the University of Puerto Rico--Mayaguez, and plans to apply to the Biomedical Engineering department here at UM.  His research focus will be on biomechanics and fluids.  Daniel is interested in UM because he wants to obtain the best engineering education in one of the best engineering universities.  He believes UM has a really great reputation and many research areas.
