Damarys Acevedo is from Puerto Rico. She is currently attending the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. She is applying to the Civil & Environmental Engineering department here at UM. Her research interests include environmental engineering and hydrology/hydraulics. Damarys is interested in attending the College of Engineering because it is one of the most prestigious universities of engineering, and has research in the areas she wants to study.
