Brooke Smith is originally from Freeland, Michigan. She attends Michigan Technological University, and plans to apply to the Biodedical Engineering department here at UM. Her research focus will be on bioinstrumentation and biomaterials/neuroprosthetics. Brooke is interested in UM because it is one of the best in the nation. She has visited campus previously and was impressed with the faculty, graduate students, and facilities.
