Application Fee Waivers

The University of Michigan College of Engineering is always in search of the brightest, most creative, and talented prospective Ph.D. students to join our community. Prospective engineering graduate students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree who have a 3.7 or better cumulative undergraduate GPA may request a fee waiver for the Ph.D. admissions application. Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC)
These admission application fee waivers are granted to "students who will bring qualities and experience that will enhance the diversity of graduate students " and are applying to Big Ten Conference institutions.
Ronald E. McNair Scholars
Admission application fee waivers are granted for all McNair Scholars applying to graduate programs at the University of Michigan.
Vietnam Education Foundation
The University of Michigan College of Engineering is an established VEF Alliance institution for the VEF Fellowship Program. One application fee waiver is automatically emailed to all eligible students in late fall and is valid only if applying to an engineering graduate program.
University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School
Admission application fee waivers are granted directly from the University of Michigan for students demonstrating financial need. Additionally, Rackham accepts a host of application fee waivers granted to individuals by national organizations that Rackham does not grant but recognizes.
