Mads is a first year graduate student whose research area of interest is Control Theory/Systems. His hometown is Copenhagen, Denmark and his hobbies include badminton, soccer, video games, board games, and politics. He earned his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati.

In 2008, Mads attended a departmental visitation and was taken back by the experience. “Every person - students, faculty, and staff - took time out of their busy schedules to show me around, talked to me about research, and showed me what kind of people they are outside of academia. This down-to-earth approach combined with their belief in me as a student made me sure that UM was the school for me. The quality of instructors surpassed my expectations and I am happy that I chose UM.”
