GEM Grad Lab
The University of Michigan will host a 2nd GEM Fellowship Grad Lab on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The program will be coordinated by our Rackham Graduate School. More details will be forthcoming on the Michigan AGEP website. The program should be similar in nature to the 2007 program, which is detailed below:

GEM is the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science Inc. The GEM fellowship programs are designed to offer opportunities for underrepresented minority students to obtain M.S degrees in engineering and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and the natural and physical sciences through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial assistance.
The University of Michigan has a rich tradition of excellence and leadership within GEM. In fact for the 2005-2006 academic year the University of Michigan became the #1 institution in the US for receiving GEM Fellowships! GEM is currently accepting online applications through their November 1, 2007 deadline. The deadline has been extended to November 15, 2007 for students attending the Michigan GEM Grad Lab.
