Tom Gilbert

My name is Tom Gilbert.  I am a 4th year graduate student in the department of Chemical Engineering.  My decision to come to the University of Michigan to pursue a PhD was influenced by the wonderful experience I had while attending the recruiting weekend in 2004.  I was able to talk with the faculty, tour research labs, and spend one-on-one time with several Michigan graduate students.  I also had a lot of fun socializing with other prospective students from around the country.  Looking back, I'm really glad that I took the opportunity to visit and find out what it's like here at the University of Michigan.
