Criteria & Selection
To receive consideration for the Engineering Departmental Visitation program you must first officially apply to a graduate engineering degree program at the University of Michigan for the Fall 2008 term. Application deadlines vary from 12/15/07 through 2/1/08 and beyond. Be sure to check with the appropriate graduate program for specific deadlines. Once the application is received the departmental faculty will review the materials and make decisions for admission and invitations to Department Visits. Students who are invited to the Departmental Visitation program may already be admitted, be in the process of being admitted, or are likely to be admitted.
Invitations are expected to be sent out anytime from early January through the end of February 2008. Invitations will be sent through email to the address listed on your admission application. Be sure to check your email regularly during that time frame if you have officially applied to the University of Michigan. If we are having difficulty contacting you, we will call the phone numbers listed on your admission application.
