George G. Brown Laboratories

G.G. Brown houses the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a number of major specialized laboratories, such as Biomechanics, Manufacturing, Construction Engineering and Management, and Structural Engineering. The '36E Lounge, a gift of the Engineering class of 1936, provides a central location for students to study, snack, or relax. From 1951 to 1957, George Granger Brown was the sixth dean of the College of Engineering.
