International Programs in Engineering Office (IPE)
The International Programs in Engineering Office offers a number of exchange programs and study abroad destinations. Taking classes abroad is an excellent way to meet the EGL cultural core requirements.

Program in Manufacturing (PIM)
PIM prepares engineers to improve the quality and efficiency of manufacturing systems by giving them advanced skills in their engineering discipline, breadth across engineering disciplines, and an understanding of the complete product development and manufacturing process, including its management. All EGL students are eligible to choose the MEng Mfg option for their graduate degree.

Financial Engineering Program
The combination of financial theory, mathematics and computer technology has led to the emergence of a new profession: Financial Engineering. IOE EGL students are eligible to pursue the Masters of Financial Engineering graduate path.

Ross School of Business
EGL students are required to complete 12 credit hours of coursework in the Ross School of Business. These classes can be either at the undergraduate or graduate level.

University of Michigan College of Literature, Sciences, and the Arts (LSA)
The majority of an EGL student's cultural core will be in LSA. These classes will span a variety of areas, such as political science, economics, history, etc. More information about specific regional studies can be found at the LSA home page.

Tauber Institute for Global Operations
The Tauber Institute is a program dedicated to enhancing the education of on-campus students interested in manufacturing and operations by providing summer team projects as well as individual leadership and team training. Students from five degree programs (including the MBAs and graduate engineers) participate in Tauber Institute. Each student in Tauber Institute is assigned to a multi-disciplinary summer team with business and engineering students. The team spends 14 weeks full-time, on site with the project sponsor working on a challenging problem with high visibility in the company. EGL students who are interested in global operations and manufacturing can apply for membership in Tauber Institute.

InterPro: Interdisciplinary Professional Programs
InterPro was created in 1999 to coordinate several new, interdisciplinary professional programs within the College of Engineering. InterPro fosters a community of interdisciplinary, professional graduate students who will benefit from interrelated curricula, program concentrations, and research interests. Its structure offers exciting possibilities for students interested in building expertise in a broad range of emerging and expanding industries.
