Tauber Project

Tauber Logo

Students must complete a synthesis project through the Tauber Institute for Global Operations during the summer between their senior and their Master's program year. The Tauber Institute offers EGL students a paid summer internship that places classroom learning in an applied context within the industry. The Tauber Team Projects are 14-week multidisciplinary, collaborative internships during which students work on operations and manufacturing issues to potentially earn or save sponsoring companies millions of dollars.

Upon returning to Michigan after the summer project, student teams present at Spotlight!, where judges from industry evaluate the team's work and award scholarship money to the best projects. A more thorough explanation of the summer team project can be found at http://www.tauber.umich.edu/Program%20Details/teamprojects.htm

The following timeline will help guide all EGL students towards the successful completion of their Tauber synthesis project.
