Voices of Leadership
There is an economic imperative for our standard of living, to develop more engineers, technologists, scientists, and mathematicians, who are also able to function in global, multidisciplinary, team-based settings, in order to retool and reposition this state for its new future in the knowledge-based economy….And there is a moral imperative to ensure opportunity, a chance for success, for all of the young people who enter our doors, especially for public schools and universities, whose missions are to serve all of this state’s citizens, regardless of color, culture, or gender.
