Horizons of Excellence1st Annual CEDO ScholarPOWER Academic Awards Banquet

The ScholarPOWER Academic Awards Banquet celebrates the excellent academic performance of targeted engineering students in the Michigan College of Engineering. Based on a rigorous selection criteria developed by the Center for Engineering Diversity and Outreach(CEDO), these outstanding scholars have embodied the ideals of this years theme, "Launching into New Horizons of Excellence".

In an increasingly diverse workforce we feel strongly that communication and cooperation between people of all backgrounds is critical to the success of our students as they pursue their academic and professional goals and lend their talents to the global economy. To that end we have chosen to honor those students, and supportive student groups, who have not only excelled academically, but have also exemplified the ideals of CEDO programs. These programs have been designed to shape, expand, and build upon the student's own personal experiences, thereby benefiting themselves and the Michigan Engineering community.

Student honorees and their guests will attend a gala-style banquet in their honor held at the Michigan Union Rogel Ballroom in Ann Arbor, MI. To commemorate their success, students in the highest honor categories will receive a beautiful Acrylic Star trophy, students in the introductory categories will receive a commemorative certificate, and all students will have their names prominently displayed on the Michigan Engineering campus.
