Michigan Engineering Transfer Support

MEPO provides academic support and programming to facilitate the transfer of URM, First\Generation College and International students from a number of pipeline partnership institutions, including HBCUs, HSIs, Community Colleges and others into the College of Engineering.

The Michigan Engineering Transfer Support (METS) provides a set of programs designed to ensure that Engineering Transfer Students experience a seamless transition from their previous post secondary educational institutions to the University of Michigan's College of Engineering. These programs are evolving and developing, however, there main goal is to support transfer students with all aspects of their College of Engineering experience from enhancing their academic development to becoming a Wolverine.

The METS Mission is to enable the recruitment of a diverse community of Transfer Students to the College of Engineering and to provide programs/services that ensure the required academic, professional and social support to retain and graduate those students from the diverse transfer student communities into the Engineering profession, while engaging those students within the College community.
