The Naval Architecture and Marine (NAME) Engineering department, in conjunction with the Maritech Compass project decided to evaluate and improve the existing computer environment. To achieve this goal a group of students evaluated and developed a strategy for improvement through the use of Total Quality Management and Quality Functional Deployment. This method is intended to be implemented throughout the NAME department. The focus on the computing environment illustrate the effectiveness of the TQM Process.
