U-GLOS Station 002, Grand Traverse Bay

U-GLOS Station 2 was first deployed in 2006 by the University of Michigan's Marine Hydrodynamics Laboratories (MHL) in partnership with Alliance for Coastal Technologies. This station is a land based station and is located 44.767 degrees N, 85606 degrees W at the end of the Great Lakes Maritime Academy's pier in Traverse City. Station 2 measures air temperature, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, relative humidity and PAR. The data is logged internally as well as transmitted in ten minute intervals to the internet via cellular modem.
