The MHL is located on the first floor of West Hall on main campus.
It consists of the main model basin, a low turbulence free surface
water channel, a gravity-capillary water wave tank, a propeller tunnel
for student use, and a two-dimensional gravity wave tank. The MHL
is used in several group courses and for individual directed studies.

The OEL is equipped with an extensive array of field data aquisition
devices ranging from conventional survey equipment, wave and current
monitoring instrumentation, to a new state-of-the-art underwater remote-operated
vehicle for education and research (M-ROVER).
The OEL also houses an array of dive gear, surface supply, and tether
equipment.

The NA&ME Reference Room circulating collection is available to
students, faculty and staff of the NA&ME Department, as well as
to faculty of other UM departments. The NA&ME Reference Room non-circulating
collection may be used in the Reference Room by students of other UM
departments during Reference Room hours.
