  EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUMENTATION

Motion Analysis Equipment: The Center has a two-sensor Northern Digital Certus system, a sixteen-bird Motion Star magnetic system, and an eight-camera Qualisys ProReflex system for measuring both small and large-scale 3-D human movement.

Electromyography Equipment (EMG): A wide variety of in-house designed and constructed electromyography instrumentation is available.  Included are single and multiple-channel pre-amplifiers for passive and active electrodes, two and four-channel digital RMS amplifiers, telemetry systems, and systems which record the EMG along with video.

Anthropometry, Strength, and Force Testing Equipment: The Center owns a full complement of anthropometry measurement kits, calipers, goniometers, etc.  Strength testing equipment includes a BTE unit, two static strength test chairs, various adjustable fixtures, and an assortment of instrumentation.  Force measurement equipment includes three force plates, two tri-axial load cells, and many various single-axis load cells along with amplifier systems.

Eye Tracking Systems: The Center has both fixed and head-mounted ASL eyetracking systems which can be used with the motion tracking systems.

Vibration Equipment: The Center owns several vibration stimulators, an assortment of accelerometers, as well as an HP electromyography stimulator system for quantifying and studying the effects of vibration.

Environmental Measurement Equipment: The Center has access to a large collection of light, sound, and heat stress measurement equipment for quantifying environmental conditions.
