For admitted students with financial aid, the average GPA is 3.6. International students must have a TOEFL score of 600/250 or higher. Other criteria, such as letters of recommendation and personal objectives are considered;work experience is considered but is less important.
We require a minimum combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 1200, and a minimum of 4.5 GRE analytical writing score. We do not have a minimum GPA, however, most applicants who are offered admission have GPAs above 3.4.
There is no separate financial aid form. All students who intend to earn a Ph.D. and indicate a need for financial aid on the application for admission will be automatically considered for aid.
