Research interests: Dynamical behavior of dilute polymer aggregates subjected to flow Incorporated a novel experimental design to study and quantify aggregation in dilute high molar mass polyethylene oxide (PEO) solutions and its effect on polymer turbulent drag reduction. Generated different aggregation states in the polymer solution through addition of chaotropic salts, which effects the near water structure of PEO chains. Discovered the correspondence between microscopic aggregation state and flow behavior of dilute polymer solutions by simultaneously applying the methods of dynamic light scattering (DLS) and fluid dynamics (drag reduction measurements in a custom built device).
