Research Projects

Generally, my work involves synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) and their assembly.

  1. NPs synthesis and their self-assembly process control

I am working on semiconductor NPs like ZnO, ZnS and CdS to establish new synthesis method and understand their self-assembly process by simulation. I am also working on gold and hybrid NPs and interested in bringing NPs into biological system.

  1. Layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly of NPs with polymers and study of mechanical properties

I am working on the LBL assembly of nanoclays with hydrophilic polymers to prepare free-standing films which are expected to have excellent mechanical properties. I am also working on the incorporation of NPs into exponential LBL films.
