The Electric Rocket Propulsion Society expresses its deep sympathy for the loss of Dr. Ernst Stuhlinger who passed away peacefully on May 28th, 2008, in Huntsville Alabama, at the Age of 94. Dr. Ernst Stuhlinger was a pioneering scientist in the development of modern rocketry and was one of the first to study electric propulsion in depth publishing “Possibilities of Electrical Space Ship Propulsion” in 1954.
