Technical Communication Home
Hello! As Director of the Technical Communication Program I would like to welcome you to the website for our program. We invite you to take a minute to look through the site. Two sections I think you will find interesting are the descriptions of the many fine classes we offer and of the three annual writing contests we support.
We have recently added several new classes to our schedule including TC 380 Technical Communication In IOE and TC 497 Advanced Technical Communication for Computer Science. Both classes are part of the Communication Across the Curriculum Program where a TechCom class is integrated into the technical class or curriculum to form a more comprehensive learning environment.
The entry deadline for the 2010 writing contests will be Noon, January 18, 2011. Many different types of writing are represented in the contests including technical reports, technical articles, essays, short stories and dramas. We encourage all qualifying undergraduate students to enter one of the contests.
If you have questions about the webpage or about the Technical Communication Program, please feel free to stop by our office at 301 Engineering Programs Building or call us at 764-1427.
Professor Leslie A. Olsen
