Declaring ChE as a Major

  • Schedule an appointment with the program advisor, Dr. Susan Montgomery, to discuss your academic & career plans and interests.
  • If you have already met with Dr. Montgomery, you can declare after your first term at Michigan, provided your GPA is above 2.0 and you have taken or are enrolled in Engineering 100 and 101. See Christine Moellering in the ChE Program Office (3090 H.H. Dow) and fill out a transfer request form.

After you have declared (or when you enroll in ChE 230), Christine will add your name to the ChE Undergraduate e-mail list. This list is used to disseminate information about

    • scheduling changes
    • registration deadlines
    • scholarships
    • jobs/internships
