Alumni Student Ambassadors
Looking for a way to get more involved with the College and network with influential alumni? Become an Engineering Student Ambassador to make connections and engage with successful Michigan Engineering graduates!
About the Ambassador Program
Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Ambassador program. Apply before April 4 to be considered.
What is an Ambassador?
The Engineering Student Ambassador Program brings together students and alumni to provide a solid connection to current student experiences. Ambassadors engage alumni by hosting, mingling, providing information and sharing the Wolverine experience at luncheons, dinners, programs and events throughout the year. Ambassadors often engage with donors and their families by acting as guides and College representatives during visits to campus.
Why should I join?
Becoming an ambassador allows you to make connections with influential Michigan Engineering alumni and staff. The program offers a prestigious opportunity to represent the diverse experiences of the College of Engineering to alumni. In doing so you will be sharpening your communication and public speaking skills, expand your leadership skills, network with alumni and get to know Michigan faculty, staff and fellow campus leaders.
Who will I work for?
Ambassadors work out of the College of Engineering Office of Advancement. The office works to maintain connections with alumni, who help support the college by providing resources for financial assistance and incentives, exceptional equipment and labs, and opportunities for students to participate on team projects such as the Solar Car, Concrete Canoe and MRacing teams. Alumni continue to build Michigan Engineering’s strength and reputation, and help students to discover the breadth and depth of opportunities at Michigan Engineering through their contributions and volunteerism.
What will I be doing?
Ambassadors participate in events such as Michigan Engineering Homecoming Weekend and alumni seminars; host students, parents, alumni and donors; work closely with the Office of Advancement, the Dean’s Office and the Office of Student Affairs on donor stewardship efforts and other donor related activities.
Deadline is Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:59 p.m.
