Robert and Patricia Lerner Scholarship Fund1/27/2017
Robert (BSE Eng Sci 1976) and Patricia Lerner have endowed the Robert and Patricia Lerner Scholarship Fund. Their gift will provide need-based support for undergraduate students at the College of Engineering. The Lerners desire to support students in need studying mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or electrical and computer engineering.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Michigan Engineering, Dr. Lerner earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and at the University of Pennsylvania for Orthopedic Surgery. He is an orthopedic surgeon in Winter Haven, Florida, where he and Mrs. Lerner reside. Their oldest son, Brian, is a graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering (BS ME 2010).
