Sharon Glotzer has been elected a Fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS). The title of Fellow honors MRS members for their accomplishments in the advancement of materials research, and only 0.2% of the members are elected Fellow each year.

The society is honoring Sharon for her “groundbreaking work on computational description of nanoparticle self-organization phenomena leading to new classes of advanced materials.” She will be recognized with the other new MRS Fellows at the 2017 MRS Spring Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in April.
