Fluidized Bed Ion-Exchange Column This device is an ion-exchange column. Students using this column will investigate the rate of exchange of Na+ ions for H+ ions by Dowex-50W resin in both the fluidized-bed and fixed-bed conditions. In addition, students will investigate the height of a fluidized bed as a function of the superficial fluidizing velocity. |
