Updated 9/29/08 - The University Library Safari Tech Books Online, a fully-searchable collection of technical books, is now available to students, faculty, and staff at all three U-M campuses. Safari titles cover details on programming languages, operating systems, software applications, and much more. Many titles cover both Windows and Mac versions of software, as well as Linux applications.

A hotlinked title-by-title list of books available in full text via the Safari subscription is available (from all U-M IP addresses) at http://proquest.safaribooksonline.com/.

Titles may be used by more than one user simultaneously, but there is a limit of seven concurrent users (shared among all three U-M campuses) for Safari as a whole. So please logout when you are finished, to make the user slot you are occupying available to another user sooner.

The U-M subscription provides full text access to a rolling file of all titles added to Safari in the current and previous two calendar years. There are currently about 1,100 titles in the collection.

For older titles, there is only access only to an Epreview of the full text. Books available in Safari Text Books Online can also be found when searching in Mirlyn.
