New version of the Mytob virus discovered
A new version of the W32/Mytob virus (Mytob.IJ) was discovered on the afternoon of October 24, 2006. This virus sends email messages that appear to be a security warning (e.g. from "abuse@umich.edu" with a Subject line of "Account Alert"). The email usually does not contain an infected attachment; it instead directs the recipient to a URL where an infected file is posted. Details about Mytob.IJ can be found at:
