Releases Quick Access
Matlab now available for course development
The Matlab program, which is licensed by the College of Engineering for use in all CAEN labs, is now available free of charge to faculty and instructors who require it for course development work.
Classroom licenses are restricted to use in on-campus instructional labs solely for classroom instruction of students. Course instructors are now permitted to use a copy of the software for course preparation only. For complete licensing information, refer to http://www.mathworks.com/license.
To request access to use Matlab, register at http://www.engin.umich.edu/caen/software/matlab/. MathWorks, Inc. will provide you with a Personal License Password and a License File which will specify the programs for which you are licensed. These Personal License Passwords will expire after one year. You will not be permitted to access or use programs that you are not currently licensed to use. Unauthorized installation or use of copyrighted computer programs, or disclosure of your Personal License Password or License File, may result in civil and/or criminal penalties.
Due to licensing restrictions, CAEN has granted access to certain pages by IP address. This means you will only be able to access the Matlab download page from a computer on the U-M network.
