Built-in Mac OS VPN client unavailable for MacBooks running 10.4.5

CAEN's built-in Mac OS VPN server (described here) does not currently allow Intel-based MacBooks running 10.4.5 to maintain a connection. CAEN is planning to resolve this issue in the near future; refer to this page for further updates.
