Look out for the Kama Sutra worm!
On February 3, and on the following third of every month, the W32/Nyxem-D worm (also known as the Kama Sutra worm) will begin devouring files on already-infected computers. Unpatched machines across campus and beyond, those without updated anti-virus software, may already have the worm installed in the Windows operating system. Microsoft Office documents and Adobe PDF files are among those that the worm overwrites, meaning the data will be corrupted and will no longer be accessible.
This malicious virus attracts unsuspecting computer users with the guarantee of pornographic pictures, using email subject lines ranging from *Hot Movie* to Kama Sutra pics. CAEN continues to urge our users to be alert, and not open unsolicited email attachments. For more information on email viruses, please see:
