The CAEN Operating Environment (COE) for Windows XP Professional is now available free of charge to all departmental PC desktops and laptops. The COE version of Windows will help ensure that your laptop is compatible with all of the College's network-based services, including wireless networking and server accessibility. A COE installation also includes selected vendor and U-M/CAEN site-licensed software, along with numerous essential security and anti-virus updates. An optional COE Software Subscription ($30/month) will provide access to all CAEN-supported software.

In most instances, your departmental computer support staff member will be able to install the COE on your computer.
