There is a conflict between Dell Wireless WLAN, version 4, and the Cisco VPN Client, versions 4.6 or higher. When Cisco Virtual Private Network (VPN) Client 4.6 or newer is used in conjunction with the Dell Wireless WLAN 4.10 or newer wireless network driver, users will be unable to pass any data across the network. It has been reproduced on Dell Wireless 1350, 1450, 1390 and 1490 network adapters with the Microsoft Windows XP operating systems. Investigations are underway to fully understand this issue and determine the root cause.

This issue has been confirmed Dell, and would affect those connecting over CAEN Wireless as well as those who use the remote, off-campus profile. Further details, including instructions for a temporary fix, can be found on the Dell web site.
