Dell recalls several models of laptop batteries

Dell has started a massive (4 million) laptop battery recall. These laptop batteries were shipped to customers between April 1, 2004 and July 18, 2006. If you own a Dell laptop, you should check the Dell website, https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/, to make sure your battery is not part of this important safety-related recall.
