Recently, several changes have taken place within the CAEN Office. Lori Burger left CoE IT/CAEN to join the College of Engineering’s central administrative group, Resource Planning and Management (RPM), where she will be working in the Lurie Engineering Center. During the seven years that Lori worked for CAEN, her determination, focus and personality all added greatly to the CAEN organization. Lori received her BA degree in Human Resources in April of 2000.

In her new position at RPM, Lori will be working 50% in the areas of financial management, resource planning, CoE Women in Science and Engineering, Undergraduate Education, and Graduate Research accounts. The other half of her job will be working on Human Resource activities for the College. We all wish the best for Lori in her new position. Paula Bousley also recently left CAEN for a new position with MGRID, Michigan Grid Research and Infrastructure Development.

Paula had been an assistant to Paul Killey, Director of Information Technology at the College. While we are sad to see her leave, we realize her new position offers her an excellent opportunity for career growth. Cynthia Bond is now transitioning from her previous position in the CAEN Office to assume Paula’s responsibilities with CoE IT. She will also maintain some of her CAEN administrative duties. Cynthia has been with CAEN for eighteen years, and her in-depth knowledge of CAEN internal procedures is expected to provide improved integration and alignment between the CoE IT activities and CAEN’s administrative activities. We are all very proud of our excellent staff here at CAEN.
