The CAEN Wireless network on North Campus is available to all students, faculty, staff, and guests of the University of Michigan (U-M). The network is based on IEEE 802.11g technology. It provides a secure, web-based login for easy-access to general web-based resources, as well as an encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) for all network computing needs.
Using the Cisco VPN client or the Mac OS X VPN client, CAEN Wireless provides the most secure wireless computing experience available at U-M. If you already have the Cisco VPN client installed on your computer, simply import the CAEN Wireless VPN profile.
