Hours of Operation
In general, CAEN is in operation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; CAEN staff place a high priority on minimizing service downtimes outside of normal business hours. However, CAEN's public offices do maintain standard business hours each week. For details on the hours of a specific CAEN office, click the related link below:
All CAEN offices are closed during University holidays. These include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day & the following Friday
- Winter Recess (typically from Christmas Day through New Year's Day)
The specific dates for these holidays may change year-to-year, depending on when they are observed.
CAEN Computing Labs
All CAEN computing labs are available to the College of Engineering (CoE) community 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. However, some CoE buildings are closed to non-departmental people during evening and weekend hours. Only people in those departments will be able to use the labs while the building is closed. Examples include:
- Cooley Building: Open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Mon. to Fri.
- NAME Building: Open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Mon. to Fri.
- Pierpont Commons: Open 7:00 a.m. to Midnight, Mon. to Fri.; 8:00 a.m. to Midnight, Sat. & Sun.
- Space Research Building: Open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Mon. to Fri.
While the Duderstadt Center is a 24-hour facility, it also keeps restricted hours during University holidays. For more information please see:
