The CAEN Hotline
Knowledgeable CAEN consultants are available to help you with your computing access, software, and general computer questions at the CAEN Hotline. You can visit the main Hotline in the Duderstadt Center room 1315, or the Hotline Express on the second floor (across from the library reserves desk). You may also call a consultant at (734) 764-CAEN. Hotline consultants can:
- Issue CAEN computing accounts and help with account-related problems
- Assist with accessing CAEN workstations and software
- Answer basic questions about Windows and Linux operating systems
- Help resolve printing problems with CAEN computers and printers
- Assist faculty and staff with private workstation access and administration
- Troubleshoot network, server, and machine problems
- Set up personal laptops for CAEN Wireless and Ethernet connectivity

Hours of Operation
The CAEN Hotline hours will vary depending on the time of year. The Hotline is closed during University holidays. The Hotline is also not open when the Duderstadt Center is closed (see hours). In general, the Hotline is open at the following times:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Spring & Summer Semesters
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Hotline Express
- Fall & Winter Semesters
Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Note: On days during the semester where classes are not in session (i.e. during examinations and Spring Break), the Hotline is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
