Instructional Technology

In addition to the College of Engineering (CoE) classrooms, many CAEN labs (referred to as CAEN Instructional Labs) are equipped with projectors to display computer output. Each classroom also has one desktop (i.e. an instructor station) which is connected to a projector. Instructors may also connect their laptops to the projectors.

The projector for each lab is located in the front of the room, suspended from the ceiling, facing a pull-down screen. The instructor stations are typically located in the front of the lab. Once a projector is turned on, the instructor station will automatically transmit its screen to the projector. To turn on the projector, press the green button on the underside of the projector. Please remember to turn off the projector when you are finished.

CAEN instructional teaching labs provide additional technology resources including audio mixers and amplifiers, movable whiteboards, and media conversion equipment. Many CAEN computing labs can be reserved for instructional use.
