Ordering Equipment & Services

To order equipment, hardware or services from CAEN (other than the CAEN Operating Environment/COE - see below), you will need to submit a signed Equipment & Service Form to the CAEN Office, 2161 Duderstadt Center:

This form must be submitted before any work is completed. If you have questions, contact the CAEN Administrative Office at (734) 615-4321. Once your order is received by CAEN, you will be contacted for scheduling.

Ordering the COE & Add-on Service Subscriptions

The CAEN Operating Environment (COE) and add-on Service Subscriptions are available for any College of Engineering owned desktop computer, used by a student, faculty or staff member. The support agreement must be paid for by a financial account owned by the College of Engineering, and payment is accepted only by means of the University's financial system.

To qualify for a service subscription, hardware must be a CAEN supported configuration and be installed with the COE. To register your machine for a COE and/or a service subscription, you will need to submit a signed Service Subscription Form to the CAEN Office. Each computer placed under a service subscription also requires a separate Computer Information Form to be submitted:

Computers under a service subscription will not be charged for any necessary maintenance services that are included under the agreement. Any time you want to make a change in billed services, including termination of services, you will need to fill out a new Service Subscription Form. However, it will not be necessary to submit another Computer Information Form unless your computer configuration has changed and you are adding new service subscriptions.
