Course Web Pages
Engineering faculty who would like to create a web page for their course have a few options, and are encouraged to take advantage of the course web services offered at the University of Michigan. Listed below are a few examples:
- U-M's CTools team offers a great service for faculty to post course information on the web. CTools is a web-based system for coursework and collaboration at U-M, and provides many features to supplement and enhance teaching and learning. For more information on getting started using CTools for your course, contact the CTools team at ctools@umich.edu.
- ITCS provides an option for instructors who would simply like an allocation of online file space to develop their own course web pages. This space is provided via AFS, and is commonly located at /afs/umich.edu/class/coursename/. To request AFS course space, simply fill out the form listed on the following page and submit it to the ITCS Accounts Office:

Note: Information on using ITCS course space to post information on the web can be found at this CAEN FAQ.
After you have created your course pages, you may Contact CAEN in order to create the necessary links from the main College of Engineering web site.
