After obtaining a CAEN Operating Environment (COE), owners can take full control of the maintenance and operation of the computer. CAEN provides instructions on how to obtain subsequent OS patches and software updates for the machine. For those who do not want to be burdened with the task of installing patches, updating anti-virus software, or updating user/group access lists, a COE Update Subscription will ensure that your computer receives all OS and software updates, including the latest recommended patches to protect against security leaks and computer viruses. Updates are issued in a timely manner through an automated network synchronization process.

Your machine will also receive a new COE, installed only by owner request at no cost, whenever a new version of the operating system is released by CAEN. This reinstallation will include the newest versions of all previously installed software applications. Any additional hardware that is required to upgrade the OS on a particular computer will not be covered.

The cost for the COE Update Subscription for all supported platforms is $21/month.
