A CAEN Operating Environment (COE) Software Subscription provides access to the wealth of software that is licensed to the University of Michigan and the College of Engineering. A complete list of CAEN supported software applications can be found on the CAEN Software Listing.

The Linux Software Subscription includes the same set of software that is available in the CAEN Labs. Two versions of the Windows Software Subscription are available: the Research version includes all CAEN Lab software; the Admin version includes those applications that are needed by departmental administrators.

Note: A COE Software Subscription does not include free or automatic updates to any software applications. To receive free updates to software when they become available, the COE Update Subscription is required.

The licensing cost for any of the COE Software Subscriptions is $30/month. A CAEN Operating Environment (COE) is required in order to sign up for this or any of the CAEN service subscriptions.
