Parent Info for Camp CAEN

Camp CAEN presents an exciting opportunity for your child. This is a place where magic begins and brings together people and technology. Campers come together in their common interests, and also connect with U-M engineering student mentors. Our staff also usually includes PhD candidates in computer engineering who help out with the advanced classes. Many students return to camp year after year. In fact, several of our former students are now instructors!

We strive to make the camp experience as rewarding and enjoyable as possible for you and your child.  Being directly affiliated with the U-M College of Engineering, you can be assured that our academic programs meets with the high standards of the University of Michigan. With this in mind, we take every necessary precaution to ensure your camper's safety and well-being. This includes instruction that addresses the concerns of Internet safety for young people.  For more information about Internet Safety for your child, refer to the Michigan Department of Information Technology and Internet Security's web site specifically aimed at Security for Kids.

The University performs background checks on all of our staff members. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the Camp Office, or email the Camp Director, Ann Gordon directly.

All students receive a daily all-you-can-eat "cafeteria style" meal at the Bursley Dining Hall. Special dietary restrictions can be accomodated with prior arrangement.
