Camp Check-In

On the first Monday of each session, check-in takes place at 8:30 a.m. in the lower level of the Pierpont Commons on North Campus (see NC Map).

Each morning after the first day, students should report directly to their classroom by 8:30 a.m. If your student needs to arrive earlier than 8:30 a.m. and requires supervision, you will need to make special arrangements with the Camp Director.

Activities for day students end at 5:00 p.m. daily. If you need to leave before 5:00 p.m. on any day, please have your parents send signed written notification to the Camp Office or send email to campcaen@umich.edu.  If someone other than a parent will be picking up a child from camp at any time, a signed Leave Form must be submitted to the CAEN Office.

All instruction is within walking distance of the Duderstadt Center on North Campus. The classrooms and labs are in the Pierpont Commons, the Duderstadt Center, and several of the Engineering buildings. Daily lunch will be provided in the Bursley Residence Hall Cafeteria which is a short walk from the classrooms. Students will be supervised by Camp CAEN counselors at all times during camp hours.

Campers can be picked up from the Circle Drive at Pierpont Commons on North Campus at 5:00 p.m. each day. If your student will be picked up by someone other than a parent, you will need to submit a Camp CAEN Leave Form to the camp office or send an email to campcaen@umich.edu.  In addition, please call the Camp office or send us an email if ever your child will be unable to attend on a particular day.

Parking

Parking around campus can be tricky.  The earlier you arrive, the better chance you have of finding a spot.  Please note that Camp is not responsible for any parking ticket you may receive, so please be careful to park only in allowable spaces.  If your student will need to purchase a parking permit, please contact campcaen@umich.edu.

Metered parking is available in the Art and Architecture building parking lot (NC43) on the North Campus Parking Map. A few spots are also available in the lot just north of the Pierpont and Walgreen Center (Lot NC 27).

Last Day

Camp ends on the last Friday after the Open House. The Open Houses will start promptly at 3:00 p.m.
