Flash is the industry standard for creating enhanced web pages with animated, interactive content. The flexibility of Flash allows it to be used for still graphics, movies, animations, buttons, and flash-based web pages.
In this class you'll learn the basics of creating vector art in Flash , and how to animate it using basic animation techniques like cell animation and tweening. These techniques allow for a good number of different projects, including banners, animated clips, and other graphical elements. More advanced effects like layer masking and ordering, motion guides, and transparencies make almost any special effects possible.
After you're well practiced with the animation, the next step is to add interactivity. With ActionScript, any graphical object can become a rollover or button to control or navigate your flash application.
As the final creative project in this class you may create a Flash-powered web page or a short animation. Take a look at the student showcase to see examples of final projects and other work created in this class.
