Terms and Places
M-Card:
Plastic cards that also grant access to different areas around Michigan as well as holding credits for meals. Different people receive different access. There is a $10 charge to replace lost cards during camp.
Bursley Residence Hall:
The residence hall on North Campus where campers either their lunch.
Pierpont Commons (The Commons):
The Pierpont Commons is the equivalent of the Michigan Union on North Campus. There are several restaurants in the Commons including the Espresso Royale Coffee Shop, a Chinese Restaurant, the Commons Cafe, and also a convenience store that sells pizza, bagels, soda pop, and other items. In the lower level of the Commons, there are three computer labs that are used for Camp CAEN classes. These labs were recently rennovated with new computers. Additional Camp CAEN classes are housed in other nearby Engineering labs. For a glimpse of the CAEN computing labs and facilities, check out the CAEN Lab web site.
Beansters:
The coffee shop located in the Pierpont Commons lower level where students sometimes go to pick up a hot chocolate, coffee, mocha, lemonade, or other beverage. A popular post class field trip stop for many of the classes.
UGos:
A convenience store on the first floor of the north-east side of the Pierpont Commons. They sell pizza, bagels, pop, and other snacks.
The Duderstadt Center:
The Duderstadt Center houses the Engineering Library as well as the Art & Architecture Library. It also houses many computer clusters, as well as two large computer training rooms.
The Mujo Cafe:
The Mujo café is located in the Duderstadt Center's first floor lobby. They offer a variety of coffee drinks, light sandwiches, and pastries.
